The Rosemary House opened its doors in 1968 with some sparse inventory, handmade crafts, and items from the garden all lovingly placed on metal shelving units ordered from the Sears and Roebuck Catalog and assembled by dear old dad. ย  As we celebrate out 50th year we would love for you to share your memories, both old and new, of visiting The Rosemary House. ย You can read more about our journey in our Flashback Blog

Loved your parents sense of humor. Our trips home from college with your father behind the wheel were always an adventure! It always made me laugh when he would roll down the window and sing as loud as he could. Happy Father's Day to the mayor!

Loved to see your dad with your mom on the Rosemary House bus trips. I lost my dad at age 7 and so I loved that Byron was in every aspect of your lives. I loved his silly jokes and that he loved Penn State. He was just a wonderful dad!

Loved seeing the busy front desk blog, over the years. Gotta capture a photo of 11 year old Arielle (Susanna's grand niece) who relishes the opportunity to greet customers and ring up sales.

I grew up in Mechanicsburg and have been going to the Rosemary House forever. My favorite memory is taking a wreath making class with a friend. The base of the wreath was made of Artemesia (silver king), which I now have growing in my yard. My dear friend passed away many years ago, but everytime I see that plant growing I think of her and our wonderful time together. The Rosemary House is a treasure.

I grew up in Camp Hill, this was one of my favorite places. Walking in and inhaling all the good smells brings back memories from 40+ years ago. I still have some patchouli oil from all those years ago! Congratulations on your 50 year anniversary and best wishes for many more.

Just attended a wonderful information session presented by Susanna at the Herb Festival at Triple Oaks in Southern New Jersey! Thank you so much for your presentation.

My Mom and I were here when it first opened in 1968. It was during Jubilee Day.

Oh how fun! We have many people who still check in on us on Jubilee Day!

I found this gem when I got my first place. A little apartment in Mechanicsburg when I was 19 years old. It was my favorite place to visit while I lived in town. 17 years ago that was, and still today the rosemary house is my favorite little shop that brings back such found memories every time I have a chance to visit it.

Love your website. So nice to read about the niceties of life and enjoy them! Wish we had quaint teashops where I live in SC, but we do not. I think there are some in Charleston, but that's across the state from where I live. Thank you for all you do! Blessings to you all!

Loved those early years at The Rosemary House! Lots of wonderful memories. I remember Chester sleeping under the desk in the front room. I am convinced that The Rosemary House Wedding Rice is the secret to a long and happy marriage! I have been visiting this charming shop in downtown Mechanicsburg since my high school days. There is always something new to discover.

Many years ago I was at a luncheon with Hildegard Peplau (Bertha Repperts sister) and when I told her I lived near Mechanicsburg, she asked if I knew Rosemary House and I said I did know a House family but not a Rosemary, she very kindly said no dear itโ€™s a shop. Iโ€™m told she repeated the story many times and one Iโ€™ll always remember with a giggle. Wishing you fifty more years of bringing joy and inspiration !

Thank you for the warm wish Marcie, how lucky you were to meet Aunt Hilda!

This wonderfully unique shop has always captured my imagination and has always been a go-to for me for herbs and ideas on how to use them. I've always enjoyed Susanna's classes and have found them to be helpful and educational. And the fairy Festival each year has always had a special place in my heart. I was fortunate enough to be face painter there for several years. I will keep coming back for more!

Such a blessing to have met all of the Repperts and Brill's over the years! I have learned so much from you all, but particularly your Mom and your Dad! May there be at least 50 more years of The Rosemary House!

I've been coming here since I was just a teen. It was always the cool shop in Mechanicsburg. So glad it is still there. Fond memories.
